Executive Order 13769 (A Duplex)

Isra Hassan

i miss the hysteria that disposed of my family
there in the thickets, i betrayed my loved ones

there, in the thick of it, i persuaded my loved ones
we need to immigrate to a subliminal space

we need to immigrate to a liminal space
proper standard stood infertile and in front of the law

propaganda stood fertile and in front of the law
i deserve the right to fear disguise

i reserve the right to fear in disguise
a blank check splashed in violent cure

a shipwreck splashed in silent cure
that was full of attempts to asphyxiate me

exhausted full attempts to appreciate me
i resist the hysteria that disposed of my family
