Joaquin Godines is an illustrator and multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Austin, Texas, currently based in Providence, Rhode Island, where he is pursuing a BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Working across painting, sculpture, wood, and apparel, Godines constructs fantastical worlds rooted in queer identity, belonging, and vulnerability. Drawing from fantasy, folklore, history, and surrealism, his practice blurs the boundary between the personal and the imagined: crafting spaces where desire and longing become fantastical, where narratives hold a sense of ambiguity. Imagined worlds, where the viewer is required to create their own narrative and story within.
